Let God Heal Your Family

God is the maker of families and He is the only One that can heal your family of whatever problem or plague you have been going through. Whatever is happening in your family right now that takes away your joy, touches the heart of God. So stop saying, �I don�t even know what to do?� God knows what to do. Hand over your family to Him and let Him heal your home. The Bible says, �Is there no balm in Gilead, is there no physician there?� (Jer. 8:22). Why are you running helter-skelter? There is solution for your family in the presence of God! And God Himself is the physician because He said, �I am the Lord that healeth thee� (Ex. 15:26). He will heal your family! No matter the pain you are going through; concerning your children, your spouse or your finances, God will heal them all because nothing is impossible with Him. Let me show you one all-purpose drug for family healing. Love Is Enough! The Bible says, �God is love.� If God can heal your family, love can also heal your family of the problems there. The reason for the aches and pains in many homes is lack of love; there is no mutual understanding. Many couples are always claiming their rights; they are so full of themselves, instead of seeking common interest they seek self-interest. And that is what kills their relationship. My husband always says, �Instead of claiming your right, why not do what is right?� If you always want to consider yourself above your spouse, it shows that there is no love in your relationship. Some men whose wives are working, will always say to their wives, �Bring your money, you know the Bible says you should submit to your husband in all things.� When it comes to the issue of money, they quote scriptures but when it comes to loving and sharing, they are quiet. You must understand what you are in for because marriage is for life. It is not something you rush into and rush out from. You must agree to make it work, if not, you will keep living in pains. You may even go to the doctor, but they would not be able to diagnose your problem because it is not medical. As a man or woman who loves his or her family, you must be committed to the affairs of your family members, know the hurt that each one is going through and care for them. There is nobody who does not like to be cared for and loved. When you sow love you will reap love. How To Strengthen Your Love? Always, dwell on your spouse�s good qualities. If you are looking for faults you will find plenty, don�t be a fault-finder but a fault-mender. Nobody is completely bad, there is at least one good thing about every person. Why not dwell on that? Also, learn to appreciate your spouse. A man of God said the person you don�t appreciate tends to depreciate; his best will not come out. He will even be confused as to what to do to please you. You didn�t go to the school of marriage, in fact nobody graduates from the school of marriage we learn everyday, so why are you complaining about your spouse? Give love a chance! Rather than complaining, keep on appreciating your spouse and children, soon there will be a change. When Lazarus died he was in the grave for four days, stinking! But Jesus came and said, �Father I thank you�� and Lazarus came out alive. Have you ever said, �Father thank you for my family�? Let the love of God flow in your heart today towards all your family members because that is what makes your prayers for them to be effective. As you put these points to work, I see every bitterness in your family turned to sweetness, in the name of Jesus!
